专利说明:
[0001] The present invention relates to a modular element for the composition of a worn ornamental chain, usable for example as a watch strap. [0002] The present invention also relates to a method for making the aforesaid modular element. [0003] As is known, there are watch straps composed of a plurality of modular elements which are rotatably connected one to the other in succession to form a deformable chain, so as to allow the user to wear it and remove it. [0004] According to a known embodiment, each modular element comprises a support body which is connected to the adjacent modular elements and is adorned with a precious metal lamina, in particular gold, which partially covers it. [0005] A first known technique provides for using a lamina having a closed-loop shape, inside which the support body is inserted. [0006] This technique has the drawback that about half of the lamina is arranged on the inner side of the chain and, therefore, invisible to the user. [0007] This involves a waste of foil material and, when the latter is made of precious metal, leads to an increase in the cost of the chain. A different prior art provides for fixing the lamina to the support body by brazing. [0008] This second known technique allows to reduce the dimensions of the lamina limiting it to the only portion in view, so as to overcome the drawbacks of the prior art described above. [0009] However, this second known technique has the drawback that brazing can create localized corrosion problems with consequent possible release of nickel. [0010] A variant of the aforementioned technique envisages fixing the lamina to the support body by gluing rather than by brazing. [0011] However, bonding has the disadvantage of being less effective than brazing and, therefore, exposes it to the risk of detachment of the lamina from the support body. [0012] It is an object of the present invention to overcome all the drawbacks belonging to the known techniques described above. [0013] In particular, it is an object of the present invention to provide a modular element for a wearable ornamental chain, which can be used in particular as a watch strap, comprising a support body at least partially surrounded by a laminar body having an ornamental function. It is also an object of the present invention to limit the weight of the laminar body with respect to that of a closed-loop laminar body. [0014] It is also an object of the invention to fix the laminar body to the support body in a more effective manner than can be obtained by gluing and, possibly, in a manner equivalent to that which can be obtained by brazing, at the same time limiting or removing the disadvantages mentioned above in relation to brazing itself. [0015] Advantageously, the reduced weight of the laminar body makes it possible to limit the cost of the modular element and, therefore, of the ornamental chain, in particular when the laminar body is in precious metal, for example in gold. Still advantageously, the modular element of the invention is such that the manufacturing process is simplified with respect to the prior art. [0016] The aforementioned objects and advantages are achieved by a modular element made according to the main claim, as well as by an wearable ornamental chain according to claim 9 and by a method for manufacturing the aforesaid modular element in accordance with claim 11. [0017] The aforementioned objects and advantages, together with others which will be mentioned hereinafter, will become apparent during the following description of some preferred embodiments of the invention, which are given by way of non-limiting example with reference to the attached drawings, where is it:fig. 1 <SEP> represents a piece of wearable ornamental chain according to the invention;fig. 2 <SEP> represents the modular element of the invention, in sectioned axonometric view;fig. 3 <SEP> represents the modular element of fig. 2, in side view;fig. 4 <SEP> represents an executive variant of the modular element of the invention, in sectioned axonometric view;fig. 5 <SEP> represents the modular element of fig. 4, in side view. [0018] Fig. 1 shows a piece of wearable ornamental chain 15 according to the invention, which is particularly suitable for being used as a watch strap. [0019] The aforesaid ornamental chain 15 is composed of a central row of modular elements 1 and of two corresponding lateral rows of connection elements 1 ate flanked longitudinally to the central row on the two respective opposite sides. For clarity of representation, in fig. 1 only one of the elements 1, V of each row has been numbered, it being clear that the other elements are identical. [0020] Evidently, the number of modular element 1 and of connecting elements 1 essere can be any, depending on the length to be given to the chain 15. [0021] The connecting elements 1 ́ of the lateral rows are out of phase with those of the central row so that each of them faces two corresponding modular modular elements 1 of the central row. [0022] Each pair of consecutive modular elements 1 is rotatably associated with a connecting element 1 ́ on each side, so as to allow the deformation of the chain 15 on a plane parallel to the direction of development of the chain 15 itself, so that a user can fold it into a ring to wear it. [0023] Preferably, each modular element 1 is connected to the corresponding connection elements V by one or more holes 11, visible in figs. from 2 to 4, and / or one or more projections, belonging to each opposite side of the modular element 1, which couple to as many holes and / or projections of the corresponding connecting elements 1 ́. [0024] Obviously, executive variants of the ornamental chain of the invention may provide a different number of rows of modular elements 1 and / or connecting elements with respect to that shown in Fig. 1 [0025] Similarly, the modular elements 1 of each row can be rotatably connected to each other by any connection means, even different from those shown in Fig. 1 [0026] Figs. 2 and 3 show, in section, a modular element 1 which composes the central row of the ornamental chain 15. [0027] As will become apparent from the following, the structure of the modular element 1 can also be extended to the connecting elements 1 ́ composing the lateral rows, depending on the desired aesthetic effect. [0028] The modular element 1 comprises a support body 2 provided with the holes 11 and / or the protrusions described above for connection with the other modular elements 1. [0029] The modular element 1 also comprises a laminar body 3 unmovably associated with the support body 2 through fixing means 10 so as to partially cover the surface of the support body 2 itself. The laminar body 3 has a substantially ornamental function and, therefore, is preferably made of a different material than the one that makes up the support body 2. [0030] According to a preferred embodiment, the laminar body 3 is made of steel, while the support body 2 is made of precious metal, in particular gold. [0031] Evidently, executive variants may envisage any other combination of materials for the support body 2 and for the laminar body 3. Preferably, the support body 2 has a lowered area adapted to receive the laminar body 3 which advantageously provides a reference surface that facilitates the positioning of the laminar body 3. [0032] Still advantageously, the aforementioned lowered zone can allow the laminar body 3 to be arranged so that its surface is at the same level as the surface of the support body 2, so that there is no discontinuity between the two surfaces . [0033] According to the invention, the fixing means 10 comprise the two opposite end sections 4 and 5 of the laminar body 3 and the two opposite ends 6 and 7 of the support body 2. [0034] More precisely, the two end sections 4 and 5 are configured so as to form corresponding concavities facing each other, each of which is conjugated respectively to the two ends 6 and 7 of the support body 2 so as to house them. [0035] The aforementioned configuration of the laminar body 3 allows it to be stuck firmly on the support body 2, without the need to close the ring-shaped laminar body 3 around the support body 2. [0036] In fact, the laminar body 3 can be configured in such a way that the coupling to the support body 2 occurs with a slight interference, so that the friction between the two bodies ensures the connection stability. [0037] Advantageously, the aforementioned configuration makes it possible to limit the weight of the laminar body 3 with respect to that corresponding to an annular laminar body of the type used in the known art. [0038] Moreover, when the laminar body 3 is made of a precious material, for example of gold, the aforementioned configuration allows to limit the cost of the modular element 1 and, therefore, of the ornamental chain 15. [0039] Preferably, one of the end sections 5 of the laminar body 3 is configured so as to be snap-coupled to the corresponding end 7 of the support body 2 after the other end section 4 has been coupled to the corresponding end 6 of the support body 2. [0040] Advantageously, the configuration just described facilitates the realization of the modular element 1, since it allows bending of the laminar body 3 before coupling it to the support body 2. [0041] Preferably, the end 4a of the laminar body 3 corresponding to a first end section 4 is inserted in the support body 2, more precisely in a first recess 8 belonging to a first end 6 of the supporting body 2 itself. [0042] Advantageously, the configuration just described allows to improve the fixing stability of the laminar body 3 on the support body 2. [0043] The second end portion 5 of the laminar body 3 is configured so as to partially envelop the second end 7 of the support body 2 so that the end 5a of the aforementioned second end portion 5 remains exposed to the exterior of the support body 2. [0044] Preferably, the second end section 5 is configured so that the corresponding concavity subtends an angle greater than 90 ° and less than or equal to 180 ° and, even more preferably, lower than or equal to 135 °. [0045] If it is required to further increase the strength of the connection between the support body 2 and the laminar body 3, it is possible to provide adhesion areas located between the two bodies, not shown but known per se. [0046] The aforementioned localized adhesion zones can be obtained, for example, by brazing and / or bonding and / or other equivalent techniques. It is also evident that the stability of the connection obtainable from the configuration of the laminar body 3 described above allows to considerably limit the use of the aforementioned techniques with respect to that required in the known art. [0047] A modular element according to a variant embodiment of the invention is shown in section in Figs. 4 and 5 and indicated as a whole by 12, where the elements corresponding to those of the previous embodiment generally maintain the same references as they had in the latter. [0048] The modular element 12 differs from the one previously described in that both end sections 4 and 5 of the laminar body, here indicated with 14, have the ends 4a and 5a inserted inside the support body, here indicated with 13, precisely in two corresponding recesses 8 and 9 belonging respectively to the two ends 6 and 7 of the support body 13 itself. [0049] Advantageously, the configuration just described further improves the stability of the connection. [0050] The present invention also relates to a method for manufacturing the aforementioned modular elements 1 and 12. [0051] With reference to the modular element 1 according to the first embodiment described above, the method of the invention provides, first of all, to provide the support body 2. [0052] The method further provides for bending a lamina to form the laminar body 3, 14. [0053] Subsequently, one of the end sections 4, 5 of the laminar body 3 is coupled to a corresponding end 6, 7 of the support body 2. [0054] Following the aforementioned coupling operation, the laminar body 3 is pushed so as to snap-fit the other end portion of the laminar body 3 onto the corresponding end 6, 7 of the support body 2. [0055] In this case, preferably, the snap-coupling operation is carried out between the second end 7 of the support body 2 and the second end portion 4 of the laminar body 3, after having inserted the first end portion 3 of the body laminar 3 in the recess 8 of the support body 2. [0056] Advantageously, the coupling order just described facilitates the assembly of the modular element 1 using the method described above, at the same time obtaining a good coupling stability due to the insertion of the end of the laminar body 3 in the support body 2. [0057] It is also evident that the method described above can be applied similarly to a modular element 12 according to the embodiment described above. [0058] For what has been said so far, it is understood that the modular element described above, as well as the ornamental chain comprising it and the relative method of realization, achieve all the preset aims. [0059] In particular, the configuration of the support body and of the laminar body allows them to be connected together with a stability higher than that obtainable with the known techniques and, at the same time, avoids having to use a closed loop laminar body.
